Press text:
Here it is, finally.. something new, or is it new? A new classic jungle EP consisting of analog synthesizer, sine-wave bass, and direct-from-vinyl drums sampled on a hardware Akai sampler for a classic-style Jungle EP. The first in a series of (?) EPs direct from the source, in a limited vinyl release made for the listener of alternative environments, out-world spaces, and ether-real places, to be found only here.

Press reviews:

Juno Records
Usually ambient favourite Will Long takes a soother, yawing headfirst into the so far untrodden domain of ambient jungle, expressly deviating from the pure soundwashes that made his name. It’s a sure transubstantiation of style, though we can still hear the Celer sensibility here: usually followable breaks are stopped short, then refired mid-flow on ‘Downpressions In All Places All-Ways The Same’, and ‘The Revolutions Of The Sun’ prefers to speed up and slow down the beats in a sort of cresting, linear-sine valley of time. By the techno-jazz filtersweeper ‘At Least Four Different Realities’, it dawns on us: Long thinks of the breakbeat not as a rigid dance object, but more another glob of putty to be deformed, and it’s the kind of thinking we like.

Norman Records
Will Long releases Seeds To Circumvent Finity, a focused jungle EP constructed from analog synthesizer, sine-wave bass and drums sampled directly from vinyl on an Akai sampler. These tracks emphasise raw breakbeats, minimal harmony and a tactile, hands-on production approach rather than retro revivalism.

The EP opens a planned series that examines how stripped-down rhythmic frameworks can generate atmosphere, movement and expressive possibility beyond strict genre codes.
